Giddeon N. Angafor, PhD, is a cybersecurity scholar, lecturer, and cultural leader whose life bridges the technical and the deeply human domains. He holds a PhD in Computing with a specialisation in cybersecurity, supported by advanced studies in Security Management, Education and Philosophy. His academic work includes peer-reviewed research articles on cyber incident-response training, game-based learning, information security and privacy, and AI-related scams, developed through affiliations with institutions including De Montfort University, the Alan Turing Institute, the University of Winchester, and the University of Greater Manchester, all in the UK.

Dr Angafor’s professional journey spans education, private and public sector IT, and cybersecurity, including serving as an IT Security Analyst within UK law enforcement. He currently lectures in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) at the School of Arts and Creative Technologies, the University of Greater Manchester.

Beyond academia, he carries the distinguished cultural title of Akhamenchwo (King’s representative), serving as the Bambui Fon’s representative to the United Kingdom and Mainland Europe. In this role, he works to preserve and promote the heritage and communal identity of the Bambui people, fostering unity and cultural continuity across the diaspora.
