To commemorate the 10th anniversary of our publishing platform, the editorial team at Spears Books would like to call for contributions that will be featured in the anniversary Magazine. Our platform was founded on the vision to decolonize publishing, and we are particularly proud of our accomplishments in this respect. The 10th anniversary magazine will capture our journey through the years, showcasing our achievements, challenges, and aspirations for the future. We seek contributions from our editorial team members, authors, readers, and fans on any of the following issues:
- Stories and testimonials from loyal readers about how Spears has impacted their lives.
- Exclusive short stories, essays, or poems from authors who have published with Spears.
- Visual content showcasing book launch events, literary festivals, and other significant moments.
- Contributions featuring artwork and creative submissions from fans and readers inspired by our publishing portfolio.
- Personal letters from authors expressing their experiences and relationship with Spears Books. We’re particularly keen to hear from “First-time authors” – that is, individuals previously unpublished whose debut work has been published by Spears.
- Memorable quotes and excerpts from some of the most impactful books published by our platform.
We recommend keeping written submissions under 1000 words and sending photos or artwork in high resolution (minimum of 2000 pixels—suitable for glossy printing).
