The Honourable A.W. Daiga was born in Bali Nyonga in 1922. After his primary and secondary education in Bali, Mbengwi, and St Joseph’s College Sasse, he joined the Nigerian Police Force which he left shortly after to engage in farming and animal husbandry. He became the private secretary to the Fon of Bali until 1961 when he was elected a Member of Parliament on the ticket of the Kamerun National Democratic Party.
He later attended a course on Local Government at the University of Birmingham, Great Britain. Some of his unpublished writings include A Brief History of Location of Bali and The Lela Dance.
