Anthony Ndi is a retired Associate Professor of History. He pursued further studies at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he earned a B.Ed. (Hons) degree and later proceeded to the School of Oriental and African Studies, (SOAS) University of London for a Master’s Degree in African History followed by a PhD in African History.  He is a professional teacher with long experiences in teaching and educational administration at both secondary and university levels. For over thirty-five years, he was intimately involved in examinations in general in the Ministry of National Education, as: Member of the Final Award Committee (FAC) 1984-1993; and the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Examination (CGCE) in the capacities of: Chief Examiner, Moderator, Assessor, Subject Panel Chairman and Member of the Executive Examinations Council (EEC) of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education, Board (GCEB), from 1994- 2010. 

At the tertiary level, he was Registrar of the Bamenda University of Science and Technology (BUST), from 1998-2008; Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Cooperation, Catholic University of Cameroon (CATUC), Bamenda, from 2011-2015; posts he held concurrently with Head of Department of History in these institutions. Since the mid-1990s, he has been visiting lecturer at the Universities of Buea (UB) and the University of Bamenda (UBa). He is a keen researcher in Cameroon history and is Associate Editor of Pan-Tikar, a history journal of the University of Bamenda. He is the author of over ten history and related publications among which are: Mill Hill Missionaries in Southern West Cameroon: Partners in Nation Building; Southern West Cameroon Revisited 1950-1972; Southern West Cameroon Revisited: North South West Nexus 1858-1872, besides countless articles and joint publications. Presently, he is working on the biography of Dr. John Ngu Foncha, erstwhile Prime Minister of Southern Cameroons and pioneer Vice President of the Federal Republic of Cameroon.
